Programs available year-round with dates of each tour listed on our website. Typically each tour runs 6-16 weeks. Often, we have 20+ shows on the road at a time.

Space / technical requirements:

We can perform in any given space with an adaptable background system. In ideal conditions, the performance space would be 20 feet across by 10 feet deep. We have performed shows in as small as 5 x 5 foot spaces. We do not need access to power.


Any- We do not require a stage or any special locations requirements. We can put on a production anywhere!

Fees / Ticketing:

$795 for one show; $995 for two; $1195 for three shows on the same day at the same venue. Schools may mix and match programs from the same tour–serving different audience ages, etc. on the same day. A variety of reduced block booking and referral rates are also available. A few examples are:

-Book with another school and both schools save $150!

-Four Schools Book together and all save $200!

-Bring in 4 different shows from 4 different tours during the year for $2,500 ($625 per show)

-Bring in 8 different shows from 4 different tours during the year for $3,200 ($800 per visit to see 2 shows each time we visit your school)


NC Standard Course of Study:

Bright Star Programs tie into a wide variety of Common Core State Standards depending on which program is chosen and which grade levels are seeing the program. A complete list of Common Core Standards are available for each of our productions on Bright Star’s website. Three examples of standards often found in Bright Star productions and study guides are:

CCSS.ELA-Literacy.SL.1.3 Ask and answer questions about what a speaker says in order to gather additional information or clarify something that is not understood.

CCSS.ELA-Literacy.RL.3.2 Recount stories, including fables, folktales, and myths from diverse cultures; determine the central message, lesson, or moral and explain how it is conveyed through key details in the text.

CCSS.ELA-Literacy.RI.5.3 Explain the relationships or interactions between two or more individuals, events, ideas, or concepts in a historical, scientific, or technical text based on specific information in the text.

NC Essential Standards:

Bright Star Programs tie into a wide variety of North Carolina Essential Standards, depending on which program the school or sponsor chooses. Three Essential Standards which often covered by our productions and study guides are:

RED.SE.3.1: Understand how to support positive relationship building (e.g. managing impulsivity, adaptability, and flexibility).

3.H.1.2: Analyze the impact of contributions made by diverse historical figures in local communities and regions over time

5.A.1.1: Analyze texts or scripts in terms of setting, characters, sequence of events, main idea, problem, solution, and their interrelationships.

Attached recommendations- one letter and one survey which was prepared for The Tennessee Arts Commission which rates Bright Star in a variety of cateogries.

Cancellation Policy

Due to high costs associated with travel arrangements, we are unable to accept cancellations except in the instance that inclement weather causes the sponsor’s location to close AND Bright Star is unable to accommodate the Sponsor in making up the performance later on in the tour.  If a school cancels a program outside of these perameters, Bright Star requires a 60% cancellation fee.
