Children’s Theatre of Charlotte and Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools (CMS) have enjoyed a strong programmatic partnership for more than 30 years. Flexible; specific timing tailored to individual needs

Length of program: Learning Through Drama residencies and After School Enrichment Programs take place over a minimum of 3 days at 50 minutes per class. There is a minimum of 2 classes and a maximum of 4 classes per day for Residencies. Classes must be sequential. However, if school schedules do not fit this model, custom residencies can be created.

In-school residencies and after-school enrichment programs take place at the school campus requesting the service.

Fees / Ticketing:

• Three-day residency for two classes: $600 • three-day residency for three classes: $900 • three-day residency for four classes: $1200

The cost includes all teaching materials and travel. There is an additional travel fee of $20 per visit for schools outside Charlotte and $40 per visit outside of Mecklenburg County.

From the arts education, theatre arts standards:   C.1 (K-8): Use movement, voice, and writing to communicate ideas and feelings.   C.2 (K-8): Use performance to communicate ideas and feelings.   A.1 (K-8): Analyze literary texts and performances.

You must cancel at least two weeks prior to the residency. Cancellations made less than two weeks before the start date of residency will not be accepted and the booking party will be charged. Cancellations must be made in writing or by email: micahh@ctcharlotte.org.
