EDUCATION STANDARDS
Speaking & Listening: SL1: Prepare for and participate effectively in a range of conversations and collaborations with diverse partners, building on others’ ideas and expressing their own clearly and persuasively (in our case we will be listening to music created in an ensemble and provide feedback to fellow musicians). Reading: R4: Interpret words and phrases as they are used in a text and analyze how specific word choices shape meaning or tone (in our case reviewing song lyrics and applying musical elements to support the song’s focus). Reading: R5: Analyze the structure of text, including how specific sentences, paragraphs, and larger portions of the text (e.g., a section, chapter, scene, or stanza) relate to each other and the whole (in our case determining the structure of songs and musical forms).
CCR Anchor Standard RL.5 – Analyze the structure of texts, including how specific sentences, paragraphs, and larger portions of the text (e.g., a section, chapter, scene, or stanza) relate to each other and the whole (in our case connecting lyrics in songs). CCR Anchor Standard RL.6 — Assess how point of view, perspective, or purpose shapes the content and style of a text (in our case referencing perspectives of musicians in portraying the song content). CCR Anchor Standard RL.7 – Integrate and evaluate content presented in diverse media and formats, including visually and quantitatively, as well as in words (in our case through vocal chants, singing and instrumental play).

Cancellation Policy
The 8 club meeting dates will be scheduled around known holidays and school/organization breaks. If scheduled group date needs to be rescheduled then please provide PMT with advanced notice. Rescheduling may not be possible. If a club is cancelled without make-up then 50% of club meeting cost is still due to PMT. If PMT Staff is ill then arrangements will be made to hopefully provide coverage by another PMT Staff Member. If not, then club will have make-up date. Failure to give 24-hour notice as outlined above will result in a “No Show” fee being added to your account. Additionally please understand that the club ends as originally scheduled. Your instructor will wait at least ten minutes after the scheduled club time, before declaring the meeting a “no show.”
