Days, evenings and weekends
1) A secure quiet permanent space (classroom setting) with good lighting is needed during the residency for the large loom. (Minimum loom(only) space 10×10). 2) Tables and chairs for students to use as they work. Please place rectangular (6 or 8 feet) tables and chairs in a semicircle fashion around the loom area. All students will face the loom sitting on the outside of the tables. 3) Two long tables for weavers to use for supplies and equipment.
****Assistance is needed for installing/set-up/removal of Loom and materials. Please provide the names of three people who will help on the set-up date and to the final day, conclusion, of the residency. This is a critical element to the success of the residency.
(If help is not available upon my arrival I will wait for arrangements to be made. Not having help could result in a delay of the residency).
All of Charlotte-Mecklenburg County and surrounding areas.
The residencies range from 3 days to a week depending on the type of residency requested. Fees range from $1800-$2500. Expenses are additional and negotiated.
