Space / technical requirements:

Classrooms with running water are helpful but not necessary

I will travel to the school or workshop location. Fee includes travel expense.

Fees / Ticketing:

$250 one day residency; $900 four-day residency (four sessions/day); $1000 five-day residency (four sessions/day) Essential materials are included in the fee. Teachers may supply glue sticks, color pencils, color markers, pencils, and newspaper.

For papermaking workshops, please call or email to negotiate the number of students, time frame, and fee.

I am fluent in German and would be happy to integrate German language activities into a residency.

I can teach students to make a simple artist book during one classroom session.  Teachers can integrate it into the curriculum after my visit.

W.6.2 Write informative/explanatory texts to examine a topic and convey ideas, concepts, and information through the selection, organization, and analysis of relevant content.  W.6.3 Write narratives to develop real or imagined experiences or events using effective technique, relevant descriptive details, and well-structured event sequences.    High School: SL.9-10.1 Communicate with others in group interactions.  W.9-10.2 Write informative/explanatory texts to examine and convey complex ideas, concepts, and information clearly and accurately through the effective selection, organization, and analysis of content.  W.9-10.3 Write narratives to develop real or imagined experiencesor events using effective technique, well-chosen details, and well-structured event sequences.     

NC Essential Standards:
