Dawn Anthony has served in the Charlotte area since the year 2000 as a teaching artist and even longer as a performer. She enjoys utilizing music and history to build bridges to promote unity. By partnering with other creative artists, learning and performing experiences are enhanced. Classically trained, she has often said that this training undergirds her ability to have such versatility in other genres and languages (Jazz, Folk, Showtunes and Gospel, etc.). Dawn earned her bachelor’s degree in music from Queens University of Charlotte, but still pursues her love for learning and teaching through cultural exchanges beyond the classroom.

Author, Dawn Anthony shares the story of Young Melody who loves to sing constantly! When Melody isn’t singing, she’s humming! If she could, she would sing rather than speak her conversations! One day, Melody’s Grandmother tells her that she has a gift, and she sets off to find it. After searching high and low, she discovers the gift in a place she never imagined!
This is the ideal story for encouraging children to discover their gifts and talents!
Note:*While no specific religious affiliation is denoted, there is a thread of faith in the story.
