Two techniques are offered, using shredded paper is best for lower grades, and using recycled papers is best for older grades. Each process can take two or three steps, depending on the level of completion desired. Art paste is used in a concentrated form so the bowls dry and harden, the shredded paper bowls are painted with acrylic paint, and the recycled paper bowls are embellished with additional images, and can have yarn/ ribbons woven around the edge. Still life drawing may be incorporated with the lesson.
