Students work together to create a colorful painted weaving, with each student having a hand in creating a larger piece of art. Each Painted Weaving is site specific, based on the teacher/ school’s wants/ideas, the space allotted and the number of classrooms. A theme may be specific shades/tints of a color, with a prechosen pattern /design painted on each strip to be woven. It may involve different mark making or symbols.
