Arts+

Arts+ provides music and visual art experiences for the greater Charlotte Mecklenburg area. Our mission is to unleash creativity, transform lives and build community through outstanding and accessible arts education. Our goal is to make the transformative power of music and art available to students of all ages, skill levels and socioeconomic backgrounds. From private lessons to summer camps to community outreach programs, we strive to help each student unlock their full potential through cultural experiences that prioritize individual creativity, resilience, mindfulness and joy . We currently maintain two studio spaces: in Uptown Charlotte at Spirit Square and our newest location, The Bridge, by the Sugar Creek light rail station, as well as facilitate programming in schools and community centers in every corner of the Queen City.

CCC@YourSchool (Charlotte Children's Choir)

Program description

CCC@YourSchool is a new initiative to provide students across the region with the chance to be part of the Charlotte Children’s Choir. Students will grow as singers, music readers and creative individuals, while joining in the 33 year legacy of CCC. Instruction focuses on celebrating standards-based learning, musician confidence, and diversity.

CCC@YourSchool is designed for elementary or middle schools, grades 3-8. Rehearsals take place either once or twice per week. @YourSchool choirs range in size from 20-50 students. Instruction is provided by highly qualified CCC choral teaching artists.  @YourSchool choirs will participate in a city-wide combined performance with other @YourSchool choirs, as well as perform for their own school community.  Singers in @YourSchool choirs will go through a short audition to assess pitch-matching. More than their singing ability, we are looking for dedicated students who are excited to be in a choir.
