Out Teach

Out Teach

Out Teach Carolinas is a regional office of a national non-profit that equips teachers with the power of experiential learning outdoors to unlock student performance. We work with Title I elementary schools to ensure that all students, no matter their resources, have access to an engaging hands-on education that transforms their lives. We know that if students are engaged in their learning and teachers are effective with their instruction, then student achievement occurs in science, math, literacy, and more!

Our Arts and Science Council program is our Evergreen Sustainability Program that coincides with the school year. Evergreen is comprised of three, 4-hour (half-day) professional development training sessions for each school’s lead outdoor learning teacher and a guest. Lead outdoor teachers receive Lowe’s giftcards in the fall and spring, culinary and nutrition demonstrations, instructional resources, and access to hundreds of rigorous lessons that align with the NC Essential Standards and Common Core objectives in math, language arts and science.

Our Evergreen Sustainability Program DOES qualify as a “residency”, thus meeting the ASC requirement.  We look forward to partnering with you!
