Students will love this laid back program that focuses on literacy and art exploration. Class will start with the reading of a book and a group discussion on how the artist who illustrated the book created their artwork. A variety of stations will offer students the opportunity to play and create as they use similar mediums and processes as the artist from the book. Themes from the book will also be carried out into creative stations. Programs will build vocabulary, social skills and allow students the opportunity to build motor skills. While the format of the workshop is quite open and free; these workshops will prepare students for Kindergarten by building skills in the following areas:
Shapes and Colors
Cutting & Gluing
Writing & Drawing
Letter Recognition
Number Recognition & Counting
