Artisan Preparatory renders creative learning that is engaging, fun and sustainable. Our multidisciplinary programs are flexible in design and attractive to students ranging from birth to seniors, in the indoor and outdoor classrooms. We love to weave STEM, Literature and culture together and make beautiful art.
Artisan Preparatory has served at Montessori, public, private, charter and home schools for the past 20 years in North Carolina, Tennesee, Kentucky, Indiana and Alabama. In this residency, students work on a collaborative piece of Community Art Work. Students in a community (classroom) work individually on a small piece of art work that is merged into a larger piece of art, building a conglomeration of many pieces…from a community. The end result can come from a classroom or the whole school. Historical, Science and Multicultural curriculum involves quilt-making and other folk art. The art mediums for this project are endless: paper, printmaking, ceramic tiles, pottery, sculpture.

$495 for a one-day residency. This price includes three 45-minute sessions a day.

Above fees covers watercolor, marker, painting or wire sculpture illustration sessions. There is a $50 surcharge for ceramic classes.

Students listened to instructions and themes and developed visual interpretations of collaboration.

2 2.V.2 Apply creative and critical thinking skills to artistic expression. Students create art from real and imaginary sources of inspiration. Students use these ideas to form themes for individual art.
3 2.CX.2 Understand the interdisciplinary connections and life applications of the visual arts. Understand relationships between art and concepts from other disciplines, such as math, science, language arts, social studies, and other arts. Students can use math shapes to make tile quilts or stories to form tile displays.
All cancellations should be made within two 2 weeks of the scheduled event. A cancellation fee of $250 will be charged per session.
