Artisan Preparatory renders creative learning that is engaging, fun and sustainable. Our hands-on curriculum PREPARES each ARTISAN with a ingenious foundation that enriches future educational opportunities. We believe that artistry is gifted to every student, it is our aspiration to to Capture, Canvas and Cultivate this gift. Our multidisciplinary programs are flexible in design and attractive to students ranging from birth to seniors, in the indoor and outdoor classrooms. We love to weave STEM, Literature and culture together and make beautiful art.
Artisan Preparatory has served at Montessori, public, private, charter and home schools for the past 20 years in North Carolina, Tennesee, Kentucky, Indiana and Alabama. Students combine their common skills to make amazing artwork. Choices are Nature Art, Recycled Art or The Beauty of Science.
Nature Art: students study nature forms and duplicate them in sculpture. Artisan collaborates with school to determine study. Required steps depend on art medium.
Beauty of Science: students to create ARTISTIC COMPOUNDS made with natural ingredients. Facilitator can choose between: Soap, Salve, Lotion, Lip Balm and Bath Fizzy.
Recycled Art: students collect recyclebles and form them to ARTWORK.

This residency requires a classroom with large tables, sink and electrical.
Educational facility. There is a $50 trip fee outside of Mecklenburg County.
$495 for a one-day residency. This price includes three 45-minute sessions a day.
$1450 for 3-day residency. This price includes three 45-minute sessions a day.
Above fees cover watercolor, marker, painting or wire sculpture illustration sessions. There is a $50 surcharge for ceramic classes.

1 CCSS.ELA-LITERACY.CCRA.SL.2 Integrate and evaluate information presented in diverse media and formats, including visually, quantitatively, and orally. Students are presented with other nature art pieces by diverse media and formats. They collaborate and design their own community art project.

All cancellations should be made within two 2 weeks of the scheduled event. A cancellation fee of $250 will be charged per session.
