EDUCATION STANDARDS

NC Standard Course of Study:

R3: Analyze how and why individuals, events, and ideas develop and interact over the course of a text; specifically how the Apollo 13 astronauts had to work together as a team to find a solution.

R7: Integrate and evaluate content presented in diverse media and formats, including visually and quantitatively, as well as in words. A scale model of the Saturn 5 rocket will be used to help students understand the malfunction on Apollo 13.

W9: Draw evidence from literary or informational texts from books and charts about space to support analysis, reflection, and research. 

 

NC Essential Standards:

3.P.1: Understand motion and factors that affect motion.

4.P.1: Explain how various forces affect the motion of an object.

5.P.1: Understand force, motion, and the relationship between them.
