Digging for the Roots of Bluegrass Music Residency

Program description

Program Detail
Offered on a first come,first served basis throughout the school year, per ASC guidelines.
Up to four 45-60 minute class sessions per day, as decided by school staff.
If school elects to have an assembly program as a part of the final day of the residency, there may be two combined sessions in the morning, with the assembly in the afternoon.
Classroom, or multi-purpose room, library, or any designated teaching space on site at the school. Students may be in their desks, or seated on the floor, as needed. Students should come prepared to sing, clap in rhythm, and particpate in musical exercises, and learning experiences.
Artist requests a library book cart for his instruments, if moving from class to class during the day, and a large tablet flip chart on easel for songwriting exercises, if those are included in the residency plan.
If artist is offering a school assembly as part of the residency, he will need 90 minutes prior to first assembly to load in and set up sound equipment (provided at no extra charge by the artist).
Any classroom, or other type room on site that is adequate for the number of students involved.
Five day residency, with optional all-school assembly program, including lodging and transportation = $3600
Four day residency, with optional all-school assembly program, including lodging and transportation = $3200
Three day residency, with optional all-school assembly program(s), including lodging and transportation = $2400

Cancellation Policy
Artist makes every effort to reschedule at a mutually convenient time, if at all possible. If cancelled within 30 days, 100% full fee due; if cancelled more than thirty days from start date, 50% fee due.
