Footworks conveys the joy of dance while illuminating the historical and multicultural perspectives of different American percussive dances. The program includes live music, American clogging and hambone, call-and-answer songs and rhythms, as well as French Canadian stepdance and South African bootdance.

Space / technical requirements:

Space Requirements:  Can perform on any floor as long as it is not carpeted and is smooth with no uneven surfaces.  A wooden performance surface is preferred if available.  The ideal performance space is a minimum of 20′ wide by 10′ deep.

Technical Requirements:  A microphone on a stand connected to the PA system in the performance space.  Access to the performance space 45 min. to 1 hour before the performance.

FOOTWORKS will reschedule when possible, and in a timely way, and will appreciate the same effort from the school.  Neither FOOTWORKS nor any representative of FOOTWORKS shall be liable for the FOOTWORKS’ failure to appear, present, or perform if such failure is caused or due to the physical disability or illness of more than 25% of  FOOTWORKS’ performers, acts or regulations of public authorities, labor difficulties, civil tumult, strike, epidemic, interruption or delay of transportation service, acts of God, or any cause beyond the control of FOOTWORKS or the school.
