Stories in Motion is a dance residency that supports creative thinking and collaboration. Space / technical requirements:

The multi-purpose rooms and gymnasiums generally can work.  A site visit or photos are necessary.

Clear space for youth to move freely.

Location(s):

Residencies can be held onsite, at your school, or at our studio.

Fees / Ticketing:

$150 per hour

This can be a one-time workshop or 3 – 10 day residency.

EDUCATION STANDARDS

NC Standard Course of Study:

I.C.1 Use creative strategies to make decisions and solve problems.

P.SE.2 Understand the relationship between self and others in the broader world.

R7 – Integrate and evaluate content in diverse media and formats, including visually and quantitatively, as well as in words.

NC Essential Standards:

DM.1 – Understand how to use movement skills in dance.

CP.1 – Use choreographic principles, structures, and processes to create dances that communicate ideas, experiences, feelings, and images.

CP.2 – Understand how to use performance values (kinesthetic awareness, concentration, focus, and etiquette) to enhance dance performance.

50% of the total engagement fee if cancelling within 30 days of the booking

100% of the total engagement fee if cancelling within 7 days of the booking

In case of inclement weather or other unforeseen situations, we will work with the school to reschedule residency activities.
